Just why Cecil selected Taylor s Creek as his
birthplace and home we do not know, as we have
not seen the ads sent out by the Chamber of Com¬
merce, but we judge the fishing and bathing facili¬
ties are an important factor as well as the fact that
the surrounding pine forest contained a gold mine in
its turpentine. When Madame read the name Olm-
stead he at once saw visions of another great mathe¬
matician. Cecil saw his chance, closed his book
and sailed through on his name. Ever since Pro¬
fessor Peed has exclaimed, "What's in a name?"
nor is his most honest thought.'
