Buxton is just an atom in size, but about the
gamest atom that ever hit the iceburg. He unhesi¬
tatingly attacked the two hundred pound Mellin
food man of the class in gym and won the prop¬
erty of volatile. We say he is an atom physically.
He is just the size of Ferdy, who claims he belongs
to the biological realm. Oedipus as earnestly be¬
lieves Buck belongs to the chemical world and
classes him as a Girard atom with the following
properties, happy, popular, humorous and volatile.
